Reclaim Your Day: The Power of 2%
Stop Saying "I Don't Have Time": Start Creating It
It struck me this week: we all have the same 24 hours. Yet, how we spend them is entirely our choice (demands allowing!).
I hear it often, especially from midlife women: "I just don't have the time to exercise." The phrase "I'll join when I have more time" echoes repeatedly. And we tell ourselves, "Next week will be less busy," over and over. I am very much in the same boat as a solo-parent, running two businesses and supporting my parents!
Here's the truth: that "more time" isn't magically appearing. You have to create it. This means letting go of something else. But trust me, the trade-off is worth it.
Imagine:
Increased clarity and productivity
Renewed perspective and improved executive function
More energy and optimism
An uplifted mood and reduced aches
Sounds good, right?
I've been auditing my own time, even though exercise is central to my life as a personal trainer. Even before teaching, it was non-negotiable. When that "no time" feeling creeps in (and yes, it happens to me too!), I remind myself how much better I feel afterward.
I know many of you are time-poor. That's why I created Move with Emma. I see so many women feeling overwhelmed, like they're constantly meeting others' needs and neglecting their own. Motherhood, mum guilt, and the challenges of midlife can leave you feeling depleted and unmotivated.
It's about efficiency and return on investment, both financially (is it just me or does the price of everything continue to creep up and up?!) and in terms of time. At Move with Emma, we focus on investing just 2% of your day, or 3 x 30-minute sessions per week.
That's only 6% of your waking week!
And don't just take my word for it. Here's what our members have to say:

If that's not a worthwhile investment in your mind and body, I'd love to hear what is!
Ultimately, it's about reframing how you view exercise. It's not just about physical activity; it's about creating space for yourself, clearing your mind, and nourishing your well-being. It's a mindful moment where you can forget your to-do list and return refreshed.
Let's choose to invest in ourselves as nobody else can make that decision for us.
